www.30txt.org Under the dome of God, the solemnity of the ceremony is full. On days when there was no ceremony, it was full of holy darkness. In the corner of St. Faith's Church, in front of a small confessional, a figure was kneeling low. The painted dome over his head was a display of the power of the heavens: the gods and the fathers were boasting of their miracles, bare-breasted, with a shower of light, telling the story of how they had constructed the heavens and the earth. But in this little corner, there was darkness and gloom. Nothing is allowed under the dome of God, and light and darkness are mirrored in such an oppressive manner that you are forced to kneel.
